CL (ænorex) Hanwell is a good and underrated game for sure, but Elsey’s score is truly the best thing about it. It blends so many fantastic musical elements and themes into one amazing soundtrack. It scratches my itch for gothic-tinged orchestrations that are seldom heard in games today, while truly being frightening in spots. It has all the subtlety, beauty, drama, melody and abrasiveness of the best Akira Yamaoka scores, while maintaining its own voice. This guy is the real deal.
